Assistant to Chief Compliance Counsel

A midsized community not-for-profit health system located in southern Maryland is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Audit Specialist to assist the Chief Compliance Counsel with overseeing all internal, external and governmental initiated compliance related audits.
A' This will include specific audits and government inquires or investigations, federal health care program payor audits, internal compliance investigations and other regulatory compliance issue or concerns as appropriate and assigned.
The Regulatory Compliance Audit Specialist will have a Bachelor's Degree (MBA, MHA or JD) with major coursework in business administration, healthcare administration, or law, is preferred.
A' The ideal candidate is also required to be Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP).
The hospital is looking for specific experience with Medicare regulatory compliance requirements in a hospital or health system setting and conducting audits.
A' Experience conducting internal audits using statistical sampling software and conducting internal investigations of potential legal, regulatory compliance, or policy violations in a hospital or health system setting.
A' The Regulatory Compliance Audit Specialist must be able to identify, understand, and analyze compliance risk areas, consider the impact on the organization, effectively report findings, results, and outcomes to Chief Compliance Counsel, and coordinate with others to quickly and efficiently address and mitigate compliance concerns.
A' Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with others at various levels of the organization.
